Childbirth.

What a privilege it is to be invited to photograph the birth of a child. Around midnight, as practicing doulas, my colleague and I were called to the hospital to keep our client company until her partner could fly in from work.

It was so powerful, so moving, to witness this mama go through the motions of childbirth, from the nerves to the euphoria—and photographing both parents’ first moments with their child.
